Consumer Reports (CR) is a publication founded in 1936 that aims to provide unbiased reviews and research of various products and services. So, when we learned that consumers still prefer the friendliness and expertise of local drugstores based on recent survey ratings of more than 78,000 CR members, we were happy to confirm what we already knew.
In the report, independent pharmacies rated high on on measures such as courtesy, helpfulness, speed of checkout of filling prescriptions, and pharmacists' knowledge and accuracy, according to the Consumer Reports article posted December 7, 2018. Conversely, national chain pharmacies rated low in these areas.
Often, community pharmacies like ours are able to not only provide more services geared directly toward patients' health needs, such as free special packaging, but also give them the attention they deserve. Additionally, we are always fighting for the patient and trying to find ways to make it easier for them to live healthier lives and obtain their needed prescriptions.
For example, it is just recently that more chains are beginning to partner with companies like Amazon and FedEx to offer free, next-day delivery to patients. However, this is a service that Gatti Pharmacy has been providing to patients for years. Not to mention, when we noticed the battle of rising costs in medications, we immediately took action and developed a membership service that allows patients to get their medications at deeply discounted prices.
We're proud to be a small business and one that is patient-focused. If you ever have any questions on how we can help you or your family members, please never hesitate to speak with a friendly staff member today.
