Gatti Pharmacy has been serving the Indiana, Pennsylvania area since 1936. The store was started by Louis Gatti at a location between the 6th and 7th blocks of Philadelphia Street. During the early 1940’s, the pharmacy moved to a new location in the 800 block of Philadelphia Street before a new store was built in 1955 at 832 Philadelphia Street. Louis Gatti passed away in 1970, leaving his son William Gatti to take over the business. Bill then built a new pharmacy at 840 Philadelphia Street in 1974. A Wayne Avenue location of Gatti Pharmacy was opened in the 119 Professional Center. In 1999, Bill sold the pharmacy to David M. Smith. In 2000, Mr. Smith decided that more space was necessary and a new location was built at 701 Philadelphia Street that merged the Wayne Avenue and Philadelphia Street locations. In 2005, Dave's daughter Stephanie Smith Cooney, became a partner in the business. Today, Dave and Stephanie co-own Gatti's. The store is located in the heart of downtown Indiana and features a full service pharmacy, large gift, toy, and card departments, wellness center, and much more.

Gatti Pharmacy is a full service pharmacy. Aside from prescriptions, we have an extensive number of services that are offered. We are pleased to offer a wide range of professional services that focus on wellness, including adult vaccinations, travel vaccines and consultations, osteoporosis screening, lipid screening, smoking cessation management, diabetes education, mastectomy fitting, support hose, orthotic brace fitting, and more. Our computer system scans new medications for drug interactions with medications that have been filled previously at our pharmacy. We honor most insurance programs for prescriptions and also have the ability to bill diabetic and breathing machine supplies to Medicare. Gatti Pharmacy also has an extensive selection of high quality vitamins and nutritional supplements. We offer free delivery service within White Township and Indiana Borough, as well as a few areas beyond, and have a drive thru window behind the pharmacy for your convenience. |

| Gatti Pharmacy has a wide variety of other products and services as well. Come for a hearty breakfast or delicious lunch at our Café 701 located in the front of the store. We feature a unique menu of reasonably priced treats, including Starbucks coffee, Mulberry Street Creamery gelato, and the original Capitol Rolls that were served in years gone by at the Capitol Restaurant in downtown Indiana. We have an excellent selection of quality gifts, as well as Hallmark cards. We provide free gift-wrap as well. We pride ourselves for our customer service and are glad to place special orders for items we may not have in stock. |

Stephanie Smith Cooney, Pharm.D., owner and managing pharmacist, is a native of Indiana and a 2004 doctorate of pharmacy graduate of Wilkes University. She is devoted to improving patient outcomes through medications. She has special interests in medication therapy management and immunizations. As Gatti's vaccinating pharmacist, she provides all types of vaccine services to adult patients, including shingles, flu, tetanus, and much more. She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association and the National Community Pharmacists Association. |

Owner David M. Smith, R.Ph., is a 1976 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in pharmacy. He began his work with Thrift Drug in Pittsburgh before moving to Johnstown, PA where he continued to work for Thrift. He moved to Indiana County in 1978 and worked with Diamond Drug until hired by Bill Gatti in 1982. Dave was a manager in the long-term care division of Gatti Pharmacy until 1990 when he decided to take up pharmacy ownership. Dave purchased Means-Lauf Super Drug in Brookville, PA, which he currently owns. In 1998, he bought Gatti Pharmacy. He currently works in the Brookville store. Dave served a year as president of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association and has a distinguished history of service both to the community and to the profession of pharmacy. He has also participated in many disease state certificate programs and boasts the title of Pharmacist Care Diplomate for his skills in the area of wellness services. |

Jennifer Bowman, Pharm.D., joined Gatti Pharmacy as a staff pharmacist in 2008. Jenny has worked in a variety of places since graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with her doctorate of pharmacy degree. A native of Indiana County, Jenny is happy to be a part of the Gatti Pharmacy team dedicated to its patients and their health! |
